THE BOYS IN THE PHOTOGRAPH is a re-worked production of the hit musical THE BEAUTIFUL GAME by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ben Elton, originally produced in London in 2000.
Early in the show, a photo is proudly taken of the happy members of a young, amateur soccer team on the verge of adulthood. We then follow the future of the boys in this photograph. Young people wanting to love, to play soccer and lead normal lives in a city dominated by violence and hatred. The musical is set in Belfast, Ireland, between 1969 and 1972.
